Realme 8 Overview
Realme 8 shares the same design as its Pro variant. It has a polycarbonate build and a two-split design. The left side of the rear has a matte finish whereas the right side has a glossy finish.
There’s a rectangular quad camera on the back with big lenses and Realme has slapped “DARE TO LEAP” lettering on the back. Realme is calling it the Infinite Bold Design.
It comes in two colors: Cyber Silver and Cyber Black
On the front, it has a hole punch on the top left corner and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Upfront, it gets a 6.4 inches FHD+ Super AMOLED panel. It is not a high refresh rate display but it still has a 180Hz touch sampling rate.
They are using the display panel from Samsung and it is expected to reach a peak brightness of 1000 nits.
Realme 8 is sticking with the same MediaTek Helio G95 chipset used on its predecessor. It comes with either 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage.
Helio G95 is a 12nm chipset with Octa-core (2×2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU and Mali-G76 MC4 GPU. It is a good chipset for gaming but it is not as efficient as the Snapdragon 732G.
Other features include Hi-Res Audio Dirac Sound and Copper Liquid cooling.
Realme 8 doesn’t get the 1080MP found on the Pro variant. Instead, it is using a 64MP sensor. Along with the new sensor, Realme is touting its features like Starry mode, Tilt-Shift mode, Neon Portrait, and Dynamic Bokeh.
The main camera is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and 2MP monochrome sensor.
On the front, it has a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor for selfies.
Battery and Os
Realme 8 has the same 5000mAh battery as the Realme 7. It uses 30W Fast charging that can provide 100% battery in 65 mins.
Furthermore, it runs on Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11.

|Realme Mobile||Variant||Price in Nepal|

Realme 8 gets a new design and a Super AMOLED panel. While it gets a better AMOLED panel, it is still a 60Hz display. Also, it doesn’t get an upgrade in terms of the chipset.
If you put it side by side with the Redmi Note 10, Realme 8 looks pretty solid. Previously, with the 8/128GB variant of Realme 8, it was hard to recommend the phone because it was a lot expensive than we had anticipated. But now, after the launch of the 6/128GB variant, it has become a lot easier.
