DJI OM 5 Overview
Like the OM 4, DJI OM 5 also has a foldable design but now, it’s even smaller and lighter than before. It now features a built-in extension rod, which can come in handy when taking selfies or getting a better angle photo or video.
Also, there is a new magnetic mount that has built-in front LED lights for better low-light capabilities. The gimbal is available in two color options: Sunset While colour and Classic Athens Gray.
Compared to the OM 4’s 2450mAh battery, the OM 5 has a significantly smaller 1000mAh battery.
With the OM 5, DJI has introduced the new version of ActiveTrack, the ActiveTrack 4.0. The gimbal now tracks the subject even better as a result of this.
There is also a new feature called “ShotGuides”. According to DJI, this feature automatically recognizes the environment and recommends helpful shooting tips and creative templates.
Other features include Panorama, CloneMe Pano, Story Mode, DynamicZoom, Timelapse, and SpinShot.

The addition of the extension rod to the DJI OM 5 is a key design upgrade that greatly simplifies group photography and filming from new perspectives. The ActiveTracking feature is even better with more advanced recognition capabilities and other features.
The new OM 5 is also much lighter and smaller. However, it does so at the expense of battery life.
