Yamaha R15M Overview
Yamaha R15 v4 takes deep inspiration from the iconic Yamaha R7.
The front section sports an all-new Bi-Functional LED Projector headlamp with unique LED DRLs. It is the same Class D unit already seen in the Yamaha MT 15.
Furthermore, the front profile feels slimmer than in R15 v3.
Yamaha has put more focus on improving aerodynamics. It is done so for better airflow management, which helps in better stability at higher speeds.
Similarly, this results in a sleeker tank profile. Moreover, it has also resulted in slightly different placement for the vents and Yamaha logo.

Yamaha R15 v4 is powered by a 155cc, Single-Cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, Liquid-cooled FI engine. It can generate a max power of 18.4PS at 10000rpm and a max torque of 14.2Nm at 7500rpm.
Moreover, it is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an assisted slipper clutch.
The powertrain remains the same as in R15 v3 BS6. It is still the punchy engine with the trademark VVA technology.
Intriguingly enough, Yamaha has implemented additional performance features.
Yamaha R15 v4 now comes with Hazard Light Switch, Traction Control System, Quick Shifter, Golden-Colored Upside-Down Front Forks, and Bluetooth Connectivity.
Other noteworthy features include Dual Horn, rear Radial Tyre, in-built Side-Stand Engine cut-off switch, Dual-Channel ABS, Aluminium Swing Arm, and more.
The dimensions are 1990mm in length, 725mm in width, and 1135mm in height. Moreover, the wheelbase sits at 1135mm.
Yamaha R15 v4 comes with 170mm ground clearance. Moreover, the kerb weight is 142 kg.
