Tata Nexon EV Max Launched: Taking Everything to the MAX!

Tata Motors India has launched the newest iteration of its best-selling electric SUV.

Nexon EV Max brings the familiar SUV styling to the table. But, it introduces a plethora of new improvements in range, safety, features, and performance. 

We will get to every little detail in a bit.

The price of Tata Nexon EV Max in India starts at INRs. 17.74 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Moreover, it will be available in two trim levels across four different variants.

XZ+ and XZ+ Lux will additional be available in 3.3kW and 7.2kW charging options.

Design

Tata Nexon EV Max gets a familiar styling. There has been no change in the overall aesthetics.

It sports a coupe-like design with a heavy focus on its aerodynamic shape.

Furthermore, there are many Tri-Arrow elements sprinkled throughout the vehicle.

The front section comes with Projector LED Headlamp with Tri-Arrow DRLs.

Previous elements like Piano black ORVMs with turn indicators, Shark Fin Antenna, Roof Rails, and more are still the same.

Moving to the side profile, it gets an R16 Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels. 

Moreover, the lower window border gets a streak of blue accent going all the way to the rear section.

Interestingly enough, Tata India didn’t use the “MAX” badging to separate itself from the standard model.

Nevertheless, it still gets a sharp LED Taillamp with a new Auto Brake Lamp feature.

Additionally, Tata Nexon EV Max comes in three different colors: Teal, White, and Grey.

Performance

Tata Nexon EV is powered by a 105kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). It can generate a max power of 143PS and a max torque of 250Nm.

Nexon EV comes with a 40.5kWh High energy density Li-Ion battery, claiming a range of 437Km. It takes an average of 15 hours to fully charge from a normal 3.3kW charger.

There is an additional option for a 7.2kW AC charge. It will bring down the charging time to Rs. 6.5 hours. Similarly, the 50kW DC charger can charge (0-80%) in just 56 minutes.

Tata Nexon EV Max vs Tata Nexon EV Standard: Differences

Compared to the standard model, the Nexon EV Max comes with a larger PMSM motor and a bigger battery.

This translates to 14PS more power and 5Nm more torque than before.

Furthermore, the Nexon Max now claims a 125km longer range than the standard model. While the charge time has increased, there is an option for a 7.2kW charger to mitigate that.

Other than this, there are additional 30 new features focused on safety and luxury.

Nexon EV Max comes with Multi-Mode Regenerative Braking, ESP with i-VBAC, Ventilated Leatherette Seats, Jeweled Control Knob, Auto Dimming IRVM, Smart Watch Integration, Wireless Charging, Air Purifier, and more.

Additional Details

Tata Nexon EV Max gets a front Independent MacPherson Strut and a rear Twist Beam suspension setup.

The dimensions are 3993mm in length, 1811mm in width, and 1616mm in height. Moreover, the wheelbase sits at 2498mm.

Tata Nexon EV Max Price in Nepal and Availability

Tata Nexon EV Max has just launched in India. It will begin deliveries in the next few weeks for the Indian market.

That brings us to a very important question.

“When will Tata Nexon EV Max launch in Nepal?”

Tata Nexon EV Max will eventually arrive in Nepal, especially considering its interesting improvements and longer range over the Standard model.

Unfortunately, Tata Nepal is still unable to meet the demand for the current standard Nexon EV.

Hopefully, the launch will come soon after the pending deliveries are met.

When the launch ultimately does happen, Tata Nexon EV Max will be priced around Rs. 45-55 Lakhs.

However, it is pure speculation. So, the actual price may vary during its official launch.

Nevertheless, Tata Nexon EV Max will make it compete against MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric.
