Skoda India recently unveiled its latest premium SUV, Skoda Kushaq.
Skoda Kushaq is a part of India 2.0, an initiative created by Volkswagen Group. It will be the first Skoda SUV made specifically for the Indian market.
Moreover, it combines Skoda’s premium appeal with more practical features.
It is a completely new premium SUV, boasting a new style, a new engine, and a whole new experience.
With that said, we are still unclear on its expected pricing and launch date in Nepal. However, as per our sources, it has been confirmed that Skoda Kushaq will launch in Nepal.

Skoda Kushaq Overview
Skoda Kushaq sports a perfect blend of luxury and functional design. It follows a grand design, inspired by royalty.
Talking about the interiors, it comes with beautifully crafted interiors for segment-leading comfort. Furthermore, it also focuses on roominess with a spacious cabin.
It takes a commanding stance featuring Skoda Signature Grille with Chrome Surround.
Taking inspiration from timeless design ideals, Kushaq includes Piano Black Fenders with Chrome outline.
On the front, it gets a Silver Armored Front Diffuser, aggressive LED DRLs, and Skoda Crystalline LED Headlamps.
Moving to the side, it comes with premium Dual Tone Atlas Alloy Wheels, Silver Roof rails, electric Sunroof, and a Shark-fin Antenna.
Compared to the rest of the body, the rear section is pretty minimalistic. It gets a simple 3D chrome strip along with Skoda chrome garnish.
Like the front section, the rear also gets a Silver Armored Rear DIffuser and Crystalline LED Taillamp.
Slim door handles, sculpted curves, trapezoidal-inspired theme, resonate hall-marks of a true Skoda vehicle.
Skoda Kushaq is available in five different colors: Orange, Red, Black, Silver, and White.
Skoda Kushaq is powered by two different engine configurations: 1.0L TSI Petrol and 1.5L TSI Petrol engine.
In the 1.0L TSI Petrol engine, it can generate a max power of 115PS and a max torque of 175Nm. It is available in 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.
In the 1.5L TSI Petrol engine, it can generate a max power of 150PS and a max torque of 250Nm. Similarly, it is available in 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG transmission.
Both engines are BS6-compliant with Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD) drive type.
In any case, TSI Petrol engines share immense popularity in the Nepali market. So, it will be interesting to see which variant makes its way into our territory.

Skoda Kushaq price in Nepal is not set yet. Since it is yet to be launched in the Indian markets, the expected pricing will be revealed only afterward.
It will be interesting to see what will happen to Karoq, especially with newer Kushaq on the horizon. With Skoda Kushaq expected to be priced lower than Karoq, it is slowly growing to be a much-anticipated release.
If Skoda Nepal manages to get the price right, then we might see Skoda dominate the SUV segment, as it does in the sedan segment.
