Redmi 12C Overview

Design

The Redmi 12C has a plastic build with a textured and curved back with diagonal patterns. There is a dual-tone square camera island that houses the rear cameras, flash, Redmi branding, and a fingerprint sensor.

Likewise, the volume and power buttons are located on the right side of the device. Along with the microphone and a speaker, the bottom has a Micro-USB port.

Meanwhile, the top has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The SIM card tray is placed on the left side of the phone, which supports two SIM cards and a microSD card.

Display

The phone features a large 6.71-inch HD+ IPS LCD display. With a fixed 60Hz refresh rate, the display does not support a high refresh rate. It has a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera.

Hardware

Powering the phone is a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset. Announced in 2020, Helio G85 is a decent budget processor built on a 12nm process technology.

It has two Cortex-A75 CPUs clocked at up to 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A55 CPUs at up to 1.8GHz, and a Mali-G52 GPU.

Based on memory, the phone comes in three configurations: 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. Users can also expand the storage up to 1TB with a microSD card.

Camera

The back has a 50MP AI dual camera at the back. The front has a 5MP selfie camera.

The phone can shoot video up to 1080p at 30fps.

Battery and OS

Redmi 12C comes with a 5000mAh battery and a 10W charger in the box.

In terms of software, it runs on Android 12 topped with MIUI 13.
