Realme C53 with 108MP Camera Launched in Nepal

Realme is pumping phone after phone in the Nepali market. We only just talked about the Realme C51 being launched and now the C53 has also been launched.

Realme is looking to dominate the budget segment of smartphones in Nepal. In this sea of budget phones, will the C53 survive? Keep in mind that there are two versions of the C53 out there: Global and Indian. We’ll talk about the Indian variant in this article.

Realme C53 Overview

Design

The Realme C53 is a pretty sleek phone at just 8mm thickness. The body curves at the edges at a C-angle to allow more comfort while holding the phone and the back design features a two-tone finish with the upper part having a glossy shine while the lower part is covered with a shimmering finish.

The Mini-capsule is still available and displays notifications like battery status, data usage, and step stats. It’s still not as practical as the Dynamic Island from the iPhones but Realme is slowly working on it, it seems.

Display

The phone has a 6.74-inch HD+ display that refreshes at 90Hz. For a display of this size, the HD resolution means it’s not the sharpest thing in its segment, but the phone manages a respectable peak brightness of 560 nits.

The panel itself is IPS and has a touch sampling rate of 180 Hz, and Realme claims a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3%. The display appears to have a prominent chin and the front camera is housed in a waterdrop notch, making the phone look a little old from the front.

Hardware

Under the hood of this phone is the Unisoc Tiger T612 chipset. An entry-level octa-core processor (2 x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A75 and 6 x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) with Mali-G57 to handle graphics. It recently featured on the Narzo N53 and has been an average performer.

The phone comes with 4GB or 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage options. There is also a dedicated micro SD slot for expansion up to 2TB.

Camera

In the camera department, the phone has a dual camera setup on paper. The primary camera is a 108MP sensor and the secondary camera is a depth sensor. The phone has a dedicated night mode, which is rare in this price range. It can record videos up to 1080p at 30fps.

It has an 8MP camera on the front and can record videos up to 720p at 30fps.

Battery and OS

The phone features a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging.

For software, the smartphone runs Android 13 out of the box, with Realme UI T on top.
