Open Data Hackathon 2017
Like each year, this year also the event hosts the Open Data Hackathon. For the benefit of those of you who are new to the Open Data Hackathon, it is an event that lasts for a day where techies, journalists and citizens collectively develop applications, visualizations and tools that can harness the power of Open Data to solve real life issues.
Unlike previous years, this year the Open Data Hackathon 2017 is scheduled a week earlier than the Open Data Day that is on February 25 at Leapfrog Technology, Dillibazzar. The hackathon will focus on providing a solution in the domain of health and public procurement. In previous years, the events used to run parallel on the same day. However, this time it seems that the organizers are trying to make the hackathon more sophisticated and exciting. And talking about the result of this years’ hackathon, it is planned to be announced on March 4, amidst Open Data Day 2017.
Anybody who is interested can participate in this hackathon, individually or with a team. The registration for participation is open and free of cost.
