Infinix Hot 30i 8GB Variant Launched in Nepal, 90Hz Display on a Budget

Along with the Infinix Smart 7 Plus, Infinix today also launched the 8GB variant of the Infinix Hot 30i in Nepal. The entry-level smartphone was first released earlier this month with 4GB RAM.

Infinix Hot 30i Overview

Design

The Infinix Hot 30i features a plastic build with a diamond-cut design on the back. The two camera circles and a flash are individually placed without housing.

On the right side of the phone, you’ll find the power button and volume buttons. The power button doubles as a fingerprint sensor. Similarly, the bottom side is equipped with a speaker, a USB-C port, a microphone, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Display

The given IPS LCD display measures 6.56 inches diagonally. It is an HD+ (720 x 1612 px) display that supports up to 90Hz refresh rate, which is praiseworthy considering its price point.

The display claims a peak brightness of 500 nits. It features a waterdrop notch at the top and a noticeable chin at the bottom.

Hardware

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G37, which is an entry-level processor. It consists of eight ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores divided into two clusters and is built using a 12nm fabrication technology.

The four CPUs are clocked at up to 2.3GHz, while the rest are at up to 1.8GHz. The chipset includes the PowerVR GE8320 GPU to handle graphics-intensive tasks.

In terms of memory, the device offers either 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage or 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage. The RAM is LPDDR4X.

Camera

The dual camera system at the rear comprises a 50MP primary camera and an auxiliary “AI” unit.

For selfies, the phone includes a 5MP front-facing camera. Both the front and back cameras on this phone can shoot up to 1080p at 30fps.

Battery and OS

Infinix Hot 30i comes with a 5000mAh battery and supports 10W charging.

In terms of software, it runs on Android 12 topped with XOS 12.
