Honor X8a with 100MP Camera, Helio G88 Launched in Nepal

Honor recently launched the Honor X9a and now they have launched the Honor X8a in Nepal.

Honor X8a Overview

Design

Honor X8a takes the design inspiration from its powerful sibling, the Honor X8. It has a square-shaped camera module on the back similar to recent iPhones.

The rear has a frosted finish with a textured panel that shines when hit by light. Honor has made the device very light as it weighs only 179g and is pretty slim at just 7.48mm.

The power and volume buttons are located on the right side of the device, whereas there’s a sim card slot on the left side. Likewise, the 3.5mm headphone jack, mic, USB-C port, and speaker are placed at the bottom side of the device.

Display

In terms of display, the Honor X8a has a 6.7-inch FHD 90Hz IPS display. Honor calls it an HONOR Edgeles display because the side bezels are very slim.

The display has a screen-to-body ratio of 93.6% and honor has calibrated the display to achieve JNCD(Just Noticeable Color Difference)<1.

Hardware

Inside, it is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 chipset along with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The Helio G88 is a 12nm chipset with an Octa-core CPU (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) and Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.

This chipset is found on phones like Infinix Note 12, Redmi 10 2022, and Tecno Pova 3.

Camera

Honor X8a features a triple camera setup, comprising a 100MP main, 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The front has a 16MP selfie shooter.

Both the front and back can shoot video up to 1080p at 30fps.

Battery and OS

Honor has included a 4500mAh battery on the Honor X8a which will easily provide a day of battery life.

The phone supports 22.5W Honor SuperCharge fast charging that can charge 50% in just 30 mins.

In terms of software, it comes with an Android 12-based Magic UI 6.1 operating system.
