Citroen eC3 is coming soon in Nepal.

Shangrila Motors, the authorized distributor of Citroen vehicles in Nepal, plans to introduce its first electric crossover SUV.

It is based on the recently launched Citroen C3, sharing similar stylistic features.

However, the new eC3 is an electric SUV. It replaces the ICE with a 42kW electric motor and a 29.2kWh battery. 

It is currently available for bookings, and interested individuals can book one by submitting a token amount of Rs. 1 Lakh.

More details will come to light after its official launch by July-end 2023.

Citroen eC3 Overview

Design

Citroen eC3 hasn’t changed a bit.

The overall styling is still unique, but familiar now that we have seen the C3 model.

The front section comes with a Split Halogen Headlamp with LED DRLs. Moreover, the center Signature Dual Chrome Chevron help extends the grille further.

Coming to the side section, it also remains unchanged.

The charging port is positioned at the front section. However, Citroen did not remove the fuel tank flap situated at the rear section.

Nevertheless, it does include an EV badge to signify that this is truly electric.

The rear portion comes with LED Tail Lamp with Chromed Emblem.

There is no change in both the interior and exterior. It maintains an elevated SUV stance on the outside with ample space on the inside.

Citroen eC3 is powered by a 42kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. It generates a max power of 57PS and a max torque of 143Nm.

It is supported by a 29.2kWh High Energy Density Lithium Ion Battery with Regenerative Braking. 

The claimed ARAI range is 320 km on a single charge. Moreover, the onboard 3.3kW Charger can fully charge from 10% to 100% in 10.5 hours.

Additionally, there is support for DC Fast Charger, charging 10% to 80% in just 57 minutes.

It includes two Riding Modes: Eco and Standard.

Interestingly enough, it is equipped with a Fully Automatic Drive with E-Toggle.

MacPherson Strut and Twist Beam handle the suspension duties.

The dimensions are 3981mm long, 1733mm wide, and 1586mm tall. Moreover, the wheelbase is 2540mm.

Citroen C3 gets a 170mm ground clearance. And, the kerb weight is 1302-1316kg.

Furthermore, the boot space is 315 liters.

The ground clearance has decreased by 10mm, whereas, the kerb weight has increased by 334-344 kgs.
