Cimex, the authorized distributor of BYD vehicles in Nepal, has added a new variant of the BYD Atto 3.

The story of the BYD Atto 3 (also known as Yuan Plus and S2 Plus) is fascinating.

There was a lot of hype surrounding the initial launch of Atto 3.

It was a game-changing EV with a 150kW motor with a rumored price of 60-65 Lakhs. However, that did not happen due to the tax hike on EVs with more than 100kW Motor capacity, bringing the launch price to 90 Lakhs!

It seems BYD Nepal is going to bring the variant at the promised price, but with a 100kW Motor. Moreover, it will have the same quirks and features as the extended variant, but with a slightly reduced range.

BYD Atto 3 sports a “Dragon Face 3.0” design.

Both variants feature the same 60.48kWh Blade battery, claiming an estimated range of 420 km.

Interestingly enough, BYD Nepal is able to offer the same extended range with a large battery pack but powered by a lesser motor.

Atto 3 is based on BYD e-Platform 3.0.

Both batteries can charge 0-80% SOC in 50 minutes thanks to DC Fast Charging. There is an option for 7kW Charger and 3kW Charger as standard charging options.
